Sir Michael David Kadoorie, GBS, born 1941 in Hong Kong, is a business executive, one of the first world moguls and philanthropists. In early 2007, he is the fourth richest person in Hong Kong and Greater China region, after Li Ka Shing, Lee Shau Kee and the Kwok brothers, with the wealth of his family estimated to be 5.3 billion dollars U.S. according to the Forbes annual list of billionaires [1].
The son of business magnate Lord Kadoorie (Lawrence Kadoorie) (1899-1993) and educated his wife, Muriel Gubbay, Michael Kadoorie at Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland. The roots of his family business in the Far East go back to her grandfather, descended from Iraqi Jews originally from Baghdad, who first settled in Shanghai in 1880. After a spell in Bombay, India, his grandfather made a fortune in Shanghai, mostly lost in 1949 and later in Hong Kong in finance, real estate and utilities. Headquartered in Hong Kong soon after 1949, Michael Kadoorie's father and uncle successfully expanded the family business into a diversified group, led by the flagship company of CLP Holdings Ltd..

Michael Kadoorie is the president of CLP Holdings Ltd. of which his family founded in 1890 and which still hold a stake of 35%. The utility provides electricity to 75% of Hong Kong as sole operator (licensed under a scheme of control) in Kowloon and the New Territories, and has equity interests in power plants in China, Southeast Asia, Australia and India. He is also chairman of the group mentioned second largest family, hotels in Hong Kong and Shanghai, the owners and operators in the world-renowned hotel group of the peninsula. Michael Kadoorie is also controlled and limited Metrojet director of Heliservice (Hong Kong) Limited and has begun to CLP Research Institute (a subsidiary of CLP Holdings looking into the development of renewable energy). He holds a number of directorships in other companies in the non-Kadoorie. He was a board member of the University of Hong Kong and in 2000, building biological sciences Kadoorie was opened at the university. In 2004, Hong Kong University awarded him an honorary LLD.

They did a renowned philanthropist and a director of the Kadoorie Charitable Foundation, Michael Kadoorie an officer of the Legion of Honor by the French government and a commander of the Order of Leopold II of Belgium. He was awarded a knighthood as Knight Bachelor in the list of honors from the Queen's Birthday June 11, 2005.
A buff photography, Kadoorie is also a helicopter pilot and a fan of classic cars. He is the owner of a number of rare cars including a Bugatti Type 57, 1932, Phantom II Thrupp and Maberly, a 1934 Hispano-Suiza J12 Van Vooren Cabriolet, 1969 Lamborghini Miura P400 S and Rolls Royce Silver Ghost. In 1998, he spent two months recovering from serious injuries at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, England after an accident in his vintage Ferrari when the rays in two of the wheels rebuilt tore through the tires.
He lives in Hong Kong with his wife and three children.

Moreover the economic Olympics sporadic, there is enough demand in some cities in Asia that merit the continued presence of a mariachi.
