Emanuele (Lino) Saputo (born in 1937 in Montelepre, Italy) is a Canadian businessman. With his family in 1954 he founded the dairy company Saputo.

Immediately after high school in 1952, he emigrated to Canada with his family. He first worked in a deli and become familiar with the food market in Montreal. He noted that there is no cheese that his father made in Italy. Lino Saputo convinces his father while working on his own and so, in September 1954, Giuseppe, Maria, Lino and his brothers and sisters founded the company that bears their name. Mirella and Lino will meet in Montreal in 1960 and three years later, they celebrate their marriage. The couple then started a family with the arrival of three children, Joey (1964), Lino Jr. (1966) and Nadia (1968).
